Run
Comments: I started off good and finished the first mile in 7:40. Second mile the hills kicked in and I got to mile 2 in 8:39. I picked up the pace and finished mile 3 in about 7:58. Then I forgot to stop my watch when I finished, so I don't know what I ended up with. Oh well. I felt pretty good. My lungs were burning from the cold, but I felt pretty good when it was over, and had enough to finish strong at the end. What would you do differently?: Dress better. I have cold weather gear that would have been more appropriate. Otherwise everything went pretty well. Post race
Warm down: Walked to my car and drove home. :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Cold and Hills. Event comments: Highland Ranch seems to put on good races. I have been suprised that the expo/vendors seem to be getting worse each year. I am also suprised that there was not 1 race brochure in my goody bag. Hmmmm. Finished 68/202 men. Around the top third, I can be happy with. Last updated: 2008-03-14 12:00 AM

Got up early. Expected to see snow since the last two times I was going to race it snowed. Suprisingly, it was sunny. I was psyched. Had a oatmeal muffin, got dressed and headed out.
Sat in car and stayed warm. It was windy this morning. Even though the sun was out, it wasn't getting much warmer. I wanted to run in shorts and short sleeves, but decided that wind pants and a jacket would be better. Finally got out and ran a little bit to warm up.
