Run
Comments: We chose the mass wave start so we could run together. It did slow you down at the beginning because you had kids, recreational runners, etc.. so you were doing some dodging early on. Felt great though. What would you do differently?: Either get right up front in the line up or run with the age division which didn't seem to have nearly the people in them. Next year I will be 40 so my brother and I would be in the same age group. Post race
Warm down: We decided to run another couple of miles before the elites ran. We ran by the dome and around downtown. What limited your ability to perform faster: Too many people in my way at the beginning. Event comments: Great night to run. 60 degrees, overcast, no wind. Lots of people cheering on with cow bells along the route. Last updated: 2008-03-15 12:00 AM

Waited for my brother at REI. He was 30 minutes late. We were suppose to meet at 5:30 but traffic was horrible for him. Didn't leave until 6:00. Cutting it too close. We attempted to get on 35W but the on ramp was closed. Attempted route #2, Crosstown...closed to get on from where we were at. Not only were we running (he he) late, but we had to take a detour. We wanted to run together so we had planned on the 6:50 mass wave start. Thinking we not might park and pick up number/chip in enough time, we also could run in our age division which was a later start. We ended up with 10 minutes to spare. There was no line to pick up number/chip so that was great.
Ran to pick up our number, maybe a half mile. That was our warm up.
