Pre-race routine:

Took the light rail to the Mall of America. Met my brother at the Metrodome at 6 am. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find him with all of the people (previous half marathon that we did in January was CRAZY with tons of people). He stood outside gate H where we were to meet with a huge blue H taped to his sweatshirt. Okay...so it wasn't hard to find him.
Had a bagel with peanut butter, banana, can od Diet Coke and a water bottle.
Event warmup:

stretched and walked around. Couldn't decide if it was going to rain or not for my running gear. Started raining once we entered the dome. Opted for my light weight jacket thinking it would rain.

Comments:

Kept a good pace. Had to remind my brother to slow it down and not start out so fast. I made that mistake during my first half mary (7:30 first couple of miles). Our first couple of miles were 8:30's and then picked it up a little after mile 4 or 5.
What would you do differently?:

Get more sleep. We were at a wedding and didn't get home until 2:30 and had a hard time falling asleep. Working on 1.5 hours of sleep.
Post race
Warm down:

Left about 15 minutes after we finished. It started to pour just as we crossed the finish line. Would have liked to stay and watch some more but with the rain and lack of sleep, I was DONE

Event comments:

Lots of volunteers and cheering. I was glad I was finally able to do this race.
