Run
Comments: Running in the pouring rain was actually not bad at all. I felt really good, although a bit cold. I was on track for an exceptional run when my ITB started bugging me. I've got too much coming up in the next few months to let myself get injured at Tom King, so I walk/ran/streched in the last two miles. Still beat my time from last year by 1 minute! What would you do differently?: Stretch! Post race
Warm down: More like "warm up" after a chilly race. There is an AWESOME breakfast buffet upstairs in the stadium club lounge...thank goodness they had lots of hot food and hot coffee! Event comments: Tom King is a super race for local folks. Nice and flat course, although parts of it are decidely NOT scenic (unless you're into the industrial thing). The access to the Titan's stadium is great and the post-race food is the best I've ever seen! Last updated: 2008-03-18 12:00 AM

Sat in the car with my running buddies debating the merits of running this race in the pouring rain versus just taking our shirts and driving home. In the end, we got a wild hair and decided to run (we ARE crazy triathletes after all).
Running from the car to the stadium to wait for the race to start...had to dodge the raindrops to stay dry, you know...uummm, yeah.
