Run
Comments: The weather was hot and humid. I didn't feel like I was very limber or warmed up enough. I never really got a good, strong stride going. I felt like I was running much slower. Transition 1
Comments: I made one small error that cost me a few seconds. Then, I got behind a group that was in NO hurry to leave the transistion area. That cost me probably 15 seconds. I don't have good bike shoes or pedals yet, so I fumble to get my foot on the pedal and then into the cage. What would you do differently?: Get better shoes and pedals. Run faster to avoid the strollers in the transition area Bike
Comments: I pretty new on the bike so I know I have alot of improving to do. Post race
Warm down: What? What limited your ability to perform faster: Athletic talent. Event comments: The race itself is a great one to start with. The road surface is challenging, but tolerable. The tri club that hosts this and other races in our area are fabulous organizers! I was surprised and glad that the race was chip timed. Last updated: 2008-03-21 12:00 AM

Not much of a pre-race routine, other than the standard Papa Murphy's Veggie Delight pizza. Due to enormous thunderstorms and tornados the night before, I didn't get to oil my chain like I wanted.
Few laps jogging around the area
