Swim
  • 27m 16s
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 40s / 100 yards
Comments:

Got to the inside and swam the bouy line. Great swim. Could go harder but did not want to burn up too much energy. Goggles fogged at 1000 to the point I could not sight anymore. Flodded them to clear and then back on track.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. Things went very well!
Transition 1
  • 02m 46s
Comments:

Long run to the bike then amother long run to mount line. Carried the bike due to band on left shoe failing. Right was ok. Mounted and on the way.
What would you do differently?:

Practice more with the bands. Tri shoes will fix the problem. Need the loop on the back.
Bike
  • 1h 12m 7s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 20.67 mile/hr
Comments:

Pushed it hard on the bike and it paid off. Beat goal by 4 min! Remembered sportslegs on first third of 1st lap. Got 3 down. Good fuel plan. Perpetum done on 2nd lap, acceleraid done on third. Had a little water left. Took 2 more sportslegs on third lap 3 min prior to trans. Don't do that again. Need time to get it in the system. Stomach hurt for first 15+ min on run.
What would you do differently?:

Great ride!!!
Transition 2
  • 01m 39s
Comments:

Carried bike in. Shorter return to rack then long run out. Socks and shoes on smoothly. Race belt on while running out. Great transition!
What would you do differently?:

Nada
Run
  • 53m 53s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 41s  min/mile
Comments:

WOW!!! Keep running. Average run, 1 min over goal, No real complaints. Got hot and my shoes filled with water. Not sure how to fix that.
What would you do differently?:

Keep training and dropping weight. Nearly even split. Could go harder but not much.
Post race
Warm down:

Finished 149 of about 480 males. Walked to massage tent. Water and Pure sport. Should have stretched out and paid for that later in the week.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Running speed and weight. Still getting the vacation weight off. 178+/-

Event comments:

Another great J@A race.
