  • 02m 01s / 100 yards
Comments:

What happen here? I started out good for the first 50 yards then breathing went nuts, I keep drifting left, just an aweful swim, no real bumping or water battles just me swimming like a ding dong. just baffled at this one, I'll just put it behind me and get it together on the next one. lost about 1:30
What would you do differently?:

warm up in the water a little get myself ready to go.
Transition 1
  • 02m 6s
Comments:

once again, I should have restarted this race, T1 was terrible, dropped my glasses, helment straps weren't out had to put it one twice, dropped the garmin, I did get my wetsuit off quickly. lost about :45
What would you do differently?:

get some stick'em for the hand seem like they were dipped in butter dropped everything.
Bike
  • 39m 1s
  • 14 miles

Comments:

had a good bike, a couple miles I eased off, but need the rest, the wind and rain made it tough the way through.
What would you do differently?:

not much with conditions I couldn't have went much faster
Transition 2
  • 01m 14s
Comments:

good transistion here, had to go with no socks since everyting was soaking wet, in fact my shoes were filled with water.
What would you do differently?:

turn shoes upside down when raining another leason learned.
Run
  • 21m 47s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 07m 02s  min/mile
Comments:

good run for me only had a couple guys pass me and I passed a guy in my age group that gave me 2nd. Shaved 2:30 minutes off last years time and felt I could hold that pace for a while. I did get a blister on my back heal from not wearing my socks, but what are you going to do in those conditions
What would you do differently?:

nothing ran the best I could
Post race
Warm down:

talked with friends and ate a little, was getting cold from the rain it just would not stop

What limited your ability to perform faster:

weather, a brain fart during the swim and T1

Event comments:

a really good race for such a low cost only $26 for USTA memeber that's crazy. The volunteers were great all of them clapping while getting peltted with rain.
