swam at 70-80 % swam out to get away from traffic got kicked several times and legged pulled once
What would you do differently?:

get out in the front of the group as i was concerned that i would be in the back of the pack when i was really in the top 15% of the age group

run was about 1/4 mile from water to T!

jumped on bike and landed on the saddle and seat post dropped about 2" then fought to get the SIDI shoes on. probably lost 1-2 minutes fighting with it.

got a set of TRI specific shoes to fix the problem

Comments:

pulled back on the beach and drifted in the last mile got passed by probably 30+ people. did not kick in but was more concerend with quality work outs this week than trying to crush it on the run.

would have liked to seen a water station between the start and the fort and from the fort to the finsh. just a little too much for me.
