Comments:

Did ok for the first 200m. Ended up getting caught in a pretty rowdy pack towards the end. Need to do better on picking where to swim. Needed to do breast stroke during the swim some. Much better than last the first Tri I did.

Really bad bike ride. I didn't have any water (just gatorade). Was very dehydrated w/ sticky mouth/throat. Started coughing pretty badly and almost blew chunks. NEVER go w/only sports drink again! Felt like I really let myself down on the bike today.

Came into the transition w/ shoes off...did pretty well. It was funny, Travis (dude from swim class) was just in front of me and his shoe got kicked off by another rider. I felt pretty bad for him b/c he had to turn and get his shoe.

Comments:

Had to walk 3x in the first mile and ran the whole 2nd mile. I hate walking, but I was feeling pretty bad and dehydrated. After water at 1mile, I started feeling better. Towards the end I really felt like I was going to pass out.

Jogged about 1/2 mile. Stretched a bit

What limited your ability to perform faster:

No water during the bike. I'm not in good enough shape. Need to improve cardio.

Event comments:

Overall a good race. I think J&A puts on a fun triathlon. I'm looking forward to CapTexTri in 2 weeks. I hope to be faster than I was today
