Swim
Comments: Started off like things were going to go well, but then things really went down hill. Really struggled from the 50m to the 200m mark. Lost the bilateral breathing pattern, needed to breathe everystroke. Finally just corralled my emotions and powered through the last 200 What would you do differently?: More swim time ...I was lacking swim time in the last month and it showed Transition 1
Comments: No problems ...put on shoes and shirt, then added helmet and went. This a long run to the bike so I thought it would take longer. Bike
Comments: First time on my new bike and it performed wonderfully. Started a bit slow geting confortable, then about mile three I settle in. First time ever I was in aero about 80% of the time and it felt great. What would you do differently?: Best bike ever Transition 2
Comments: No time listed so this is a guess Run
Comments: Slow start...coach wanted me to get my heart rate down below 80% and then begin pressing. So it took 1 mile to relax and then picked up the pace. Passed about 5 or 6 and only had three people pass me late Post race
Warm down: Walked and stretched, the enjoyed a wonderful meal supplied by the event. Event comments: This race is well run with a lot to enjoy before, durring and after. The pool start is well run, going every 5 seconds. I was nervous this would be a problem, but everything went very smooth. Excellent volunteers!!!! Then after the race, a wonderful meal of fruit, pasta, cookies and all the drinks you could want. 250 First timers at this race plus a large kids triathlon..... This is truly a wonderful event for all Last updated: 2008-03-30 12:00 AM
