Run
Comments: I was shooting for a 7:38 pace at an average HR of 150 which I knew I could physically do. My perceived effort was off the charts, but as long as my HR stayed under 155 - I knew I could keep it up. For me, it's all about the HR. If I had listened to mind or the pain or the perceived effort, I would not have had this result. What would you do differently?: Train more. Post race
Warm down: Walked around with a silly tin foil wrap while folks took pictures of me and my snotty nose. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not much. I put it out there. I didn't train as much due to calf issues which is beyond my control. Event comments: Awesome race. Last updated: 2008-03-30 12:00 AM

I had 2 whole grain waffles, coffee, gator ade, and a GU. I tried the "Sport's Legs" supplement before the race. I had serious stomach issues today - not sure why?
I wore shorts and a long sleeve technical shirt. It was a good choice.
Stood around freezing my butt off denying I had 13.1 miles in front of me despite all the folks in running shoes standing right next to me. Folks, there are some serious people watching opportunities at these events. Loved seeing all the folks out - from runners to city workers to volunteers.
