Comments: Much better than last year - almost 10 mins faster (8ish not including potty stop). I was always drinking way to much before the race, I know now to hydrate days in advance not just hours. What would you do differently?: Lose a few pounds, do a bit more speed work + volume. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Crowds. I started behind the elite group but at the front of the 5min/km group and I swear I passed 400+ people. Even walkers in the first few hundred meters - are people completely retarded? There's signs everywhere.
