What would you do differently?: Nothing, just keep on practicing and hope to improve as the summer goes on! ![]() Transition 1
Comments: It was muggy out and I put my sunglasses on right after I got out of the pool. They got fogged up and when I was leaving the transition area I couldn't see so I missed the exit and ended up having to run back. What would you do differently?: Next time, I am going to wait until I get out of the transition and on the bike before putting on my sunglasses. ![]() Bike

Comments: Great transition...didn't have much to do but rack my bike and grab my hat! ![]() Run
Comments: Not one of my better runs. It took a good mile to find my legs and I had a slight stitch on my right side. Once I did find my groove my pace got a bit quicker and by the end of the 5km I was feeling good. I won't complain though as I had an overall good race. ![]() Post race
Event comments: Overall I had a great race! It gave me lots of things to think about for future races. I was very pleased with my swim and bike and I now know I need to work on my bike to run transition. This is something I would like to focus on so I can get used to the feeling of sitting on a bike and then going to straight to the run. This was the first year for this event. It's definately one I would recommend to beginner and seasoned triathletes. It was well run by SET UP EVENTS. They gave every participant a tranition stool and a frame to put your race bib in! The post race festivities included a pancake breakfast, beer, raffle draw and good music! Last updated: 2008-04-06 12:00 AM

Woke up around 5:45am and had some cereal at home before heading to the race. Scott left before me as he was volunteering today.
Ran for 10 minutes before heading to the pool for the swim start.
