Pre-race routine:

Got there nice and early. I was very excited about the race. I did not have the nervousness with this being my second race and I now knew what to expect. I got a spot in transition and got set up and hung out with Schmize and Muench.
Event warmup:

We had to take a bus from the transition area to the start of the swim portion. I did not get any warm up in.

Comments:

Swim went so much better. I started out easy and worked up my pace. I felt really comfortable and was satisfied with my pace. I also had my new wetsuit, which I was happy with.

Bad T1. I got a twist in my helmet buckle and could not get it on. I ended up wasting probably 15 seconds. The rest of T1 was okay. I put on my socks/running shoes.

I was satisfied with the ride. I kept a decent pace for my old bike. One thing to say is it is fast down hills, but it was a pain to go up. Limited gear shifting capabilities.

Unsure of how hard to push yet. Started slow in swim because of start on first tri.

A very nice race for a small event. Well organized and enjoyable route.

Performance:
Course: Mildly hilly run. There was a long uphill stretch along the 1-2 mile range that just seemed to never end. It was a push, but I was fairly satisfied with the run. Jack ran across the finish line with me!
