Run
Comments: Very cold day. My fingers were in some serious pain after I stopped. First time I wore tights for a marathon. What would you do differently?: Almost nothing. I drafted when I could and stayed conservative to safely and finally qualify for Boston. Since my last mile was my fastest, I could have pushed more in restrospect. But I couldn't chance blowing up. Post race
Warm down: Walked, stretched, ate. What limited your ability to perform faster: Wind for the last 10-12 miles in our faces. Event comments: Lots of volunteers for the size of the race. Very nice awards for winners. I wasn't beat by any female! It was a great relief to finally qualify for Boston, and sort of nice that it didn't take anywhere close to perfect conditions to do so. Had a Clif Mojo bar and Gatorade an hour or so before race. Sipped Gatorade until having a Gu shortly before the start.
Jogged a little to see how my clothes felt in the weather. Stretched a little.
