Run
Comments: Since this was my first marathon, I automatically get a PR, which is nice. Went out a little faster than I had originally planned, held sub 7 minute miles for more than halfway. But continued to feel fine, so I went with it. The final 2 miles were difficult, but I wouldn't say I hit the dredded wall. My half splits were 1:31 & 1:33, so that's pretty decent. What would you do differently?: Not much. Plan for next time will be to continue to train & build some speed - would like to bring my mile times down to 6:30 or better (not sure of time frame, but it's nive to dream). Post race
Warm down: Walking & stretching . Overall I was What limited your ability to perform faster: Not much, I think given my level of training & fitness I think I reached my current potential in this race. Now it's back to some hard training to increase my potential. Event comments: I had a great time. The race was very well run from what I could see. Lots of voluneers who all were quite knowledgable. Overall, very nice race. Last updated: 2008-04-11 12:00 AM
