Comments: Swam fine until I caught the guy in front of me and tried to pass. I got all messed up, swallowed water & lost my breath. I just never recovered, even though the rest went okay. I just lost my rhythm & couldn't get it back. What would you do differently?: Swim with other people more to get used to problems, and swim slower at first. Transition 1

Comments: Stomach felt horrible & got a cramp in my left calf almost immediately. Didn't push much until the last couple miles because I just didn't want to blow up. Passed several, didn't get passed by anybody. What would you do differently?: Ride harder. I could have gone with 5-10 bpm higher hr than I planned, but I didn't blow up, and it was my first tri. Transition 2

What limited your ability to perform faster: Upset stomach, lack of group swimming, fear of blowing up Event comments: Nice race, well run. Not much, just tried to stay warm. Temp was about 52-53 at race time.
