Swim
Comments: I was really nervous at the start. I've been having a lot of problems with sinuses and Asthma this spring and it has interfered with my swimming. I swam about 150m and had a minor breathing issue. I stopped for about 45 seconds to catch my breath and then I just went on and finished the swim. other than being very slow the swim was really fun. What would you do differently?: Just keep swimming. I didn't start getting into the pack until the second half of the swim. Next time I'll just get into the pack and just go!!!? Transition 1
Bike
Comments: It was a tough ride! Fast on the way out and very windy on the way back. Also, it was very crowded and I'm suprised that many of us did not get penalized. But there just wasn't anywhere to go. Very competative bike throughout entire course. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Again very very humid which made the run difficult. I was able to pass quite a few people on the run. Post race
Warm down: Mostly just walked around and kept moving. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training. I needed to do more bricks and somehow I need to pick it up on the swim. Event comments: It was a well run race however they probably let too many people enter as the transition area was very crowded. They really need to look into chip timing the race as well because we had to slow down entering transitions so they could get your number and the times posted included the transition times so the splits were a little mis-leading. Left Muncie at 4:30AM. Choked down a poptart for my usual pre-race breakfast.
Ran about 1/2 mile. Got in the water to warm up and get used to the water which was not too bad.
