  • 440 yards
  • 02m 10s / 100 yards
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Transition 1
  • 01m 43s
Comments:

The bike was challenging - long uphill for a good portion of it. Nice day, nice course. My leg felt good the whole time.
What would you do differently?:

Practice the course in advance. More training in advance. A sore leg slowed training in the 3 weeks prior to the race - but I was well rested and that helped.
Bike
  • 44m 32s
  • 11.8 miles
  • 15.90 mile/hr
Comments:

I need to work on my bike. I would like to see improvement next year.
What would you do differently?:

I need to do some spin classes/trainer over the winter.
Transition 2
  • 01m 4s
Comments:

Went OK.
Run
  • 28m 20s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 09m 08s  min/mile
Comments:

Leg felt good. I pushed myself and was tired. I would like to get my time down to an 8:45 pace next year.
What would you do differently?:

Training - sprint/interval training and more long slow runs. I need my leg healthy first...so I am working on that.
Post race
Warm down:

Nothing much.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training limitation due to hamstring injury.

Event comments:

Excellent, well-run, positive experience. I will sign up early next year!

Swim started in water - treading, worked great, much less trampling. It was windy, but easy course to follow (big bouys). Kaysk in my way at one point...had to go around as they grabbed someone having a hard time in prior heat.
Suit: bathing suit
Course: out to a bouy, parallel to shore for next bouy, back in to beach. easy to follow, large bouys.
