Swim
Comments: Swim felt good - I freestyled the whole way though especially when I first got in it felt like there was a current pushing against me. Was bummed that this time includes time getting out of the pool till you enter the transition area What would you do differently?: Learn flip turns Transition 1
Comments: Did well here - helps to have the prime "end of rack" position What would you do differently?: Run out of the pool and into T1. I wonder if I could save time by putting my shirt on while I'm riding? Bike
Comments: Those hills were tough. Passed 32 people and was passed by 26. What would you do differently?: Not much. Maybe practice more hills or try to keep a faster pace. I was aiming for 16 mph on the flat portions but might have been able to go faster. Transition 2
Comments: 3rd in my age group and 29th overall. Proving once again that although I can not swim, run or bike very fast, I can do NOTHING quite well!!! :-D What would you do differently?: I could have shaved a second or two off by getting off my bike a little better. At least I didn't fall like I did at the 3 Pigs 2007. Run
Comments: I was kind of on a slow pace to start off. About mile 1, I sped up to try and keep up with a guy who had just passed me. We raced together for about 1.5 miles till I passed him on the end. I had a HUGE negative split - I think I could have shaved a minute or two off had I started out a little faster. What would you do differently?: Start out faster Post race
Warm down: Ate a bagel or two. What limited your ability to perform faster: Poor swim technique, slow mile 1 of the run. Event comments: Full recap on my blog at http://www.regoarrarr.com/blog/2008/04/2008-miami-triathlon-report.... Last updated: 2008-04-13 12:00 AM
