Run
Comments: Apparently I set my Forerunner incorrectly. So, I have no idea how fast I ran. I just followed the crowd. What would you do differently?: Wear another watch just in case Forerunner bail out on me again. Transition 1
Comments: Took my time. I had to wear shoe covers to prevent my toes from freezing up. What would you do differently?: move faster? Bike
Comments: My nightmare. I have doubts going into this race due to the lack of hill rides beforehand. I knew I was going to suffer terribly on the bike course and of course I did. The bike computer did not work plus Forerunner is out, so I was biking blind the whole time. What fun. I gambled too early by biking too fast and hard the first 10 miles, hence I had to take a few minutes break to massage my leg cramp. Annoyance! I seriously thought I might have to quit. But I pace myself better and blocked out the pain. My eyes are still red form the gusty headwinds. My right eye still have a slight sharp pain from the contact lence irritation. I have no idea how I completed the course ....... What would you do differently?: April races are bad for my schedule due to lack of time to prepare. Do more hill work. Transition 2
Comments: too tired to care at this point. What would you do differently?: conditioning..... Run
Comments: Right quad was about to cramped up and runner's stomach stitch on the left. What a mess. I just convince my body to complete the run with a slow jog. Take out one runner at a time and breath and hydrate. I had to immediately remove my right contact lense after crossing the line -- my eye thanked me for it. What would you do differently?: Put in more brick workouts. I only completed one brick right before the race. Try to prevent foot injury prior to a major race. Post race
Warm down: Hydrate and sat on the ground for some light stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of preparation -- biking specifically. Swollen right foot from ING ATL Half Mary. The gusty wind and equipment malfunction. Now I sound like I am complaining...... Event comments: Overall, a great experience for me. This is my first Powerman and long du distant. It is definitely different to prepare for sprint events. I am glad I did this and now I know what to expect. I miss my goal by 13 minutes. I think I could make my goals if I had a perfect day. I performed poorly on my bike and it affected the entire race. Put in more bike time! I love to climb hills but these hills never ends ..... Last updated: 2008-04-13 12:00 AM

One cup of nasty hotel coffee and a bottle of carb-pro. Pack the car and drove to the site.
It was a cold morning. Jogged around and stretched. Right foot not feeling well. Visited potter party more frequently then usual. Down anothe bottle of carb-pro 30 mins before race. COLD.
