Pre-race routine:

Pizza the night before, waffles for breakfast with peanut butter and maple syrup, mojo bar 2 hours before race. Did some yoga in the morning

jogged from car to venue did a few laps around parking lot then used the bathrooms

Weather was cold and windy, but still pretty comfortable. Pacing felt good, overall was a good run

maybe pushed a little more at the end

got my shirt and drank some water, then went home and stopped on the way for a mocha

What limited your ability to perform faster:

need to do more speed work

first 2 miles had some good downhills that made my pace about 8:30 at mile 2, the last 1.1 was up with a little bit of flat so was quite a bit slower even though I tried to pick up the pace. avg hr 170 max hr 183
