Swim
Comments: OK swim, considering I got back in the pool two weeks ago after a six months absence. Had a little trouble passing the big woman in front of me, by the time I did the guy behind me was playing with my feet. What would you do differently?: Train. Transition 1
Comments: Longish run, maybe 200 yards, slick cement floor coming out of pool, exit on the far side of the building, then you had to run all the way around to transition. Transition itself was clean, good mount, got up to speed and put on the shoes. What would you do differently?: Run faster. Bike
Comments: Rankings include transitions, though I broke out those times per my stopwatch. Second in AG by 0.01 seconds. ;) Crap road, and my riding has gone in th toilet as well. More than a minute slower than last year. What would you do differently?: Train Transition 2
Comments: Quickie. Everything as well as expected. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Here's where I pay for not running for six months. A full three minutes slower than last year, which was the difference between first place and third. What would you do differently?: Train Post race
Warm down: Watched Dylan and Angel come in, ate the good food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training Event comments: Small, short race, but well organized and competitive. Lots of amenities, good food post-race, door prizes. AG medals were nice as well. Good first-time race with a short pool swim, or if you're like Angel and don't swim in the "dirty water.".
