Underconditioned. I got kicked in the face in the first 200m and my HR was through the roof. Eventually I calmed down but navigation and mechanics sucked.
What would you do differently?:

Train more.

Meh. Not too concerned here. I wear socks and that costs me a bit of time. Next year during my sprint based year I'm going to no twear socks.
