What limited your ability to perform faster:

I had to go to the bathroom REALLY bad on the start of the run, so I had to bail to the side of a parking lot wall and lost 2-3 min. This is all new for me for these long distances, so I heard that folks go on the bike, but I just can't seem to get over that mental hump.

This was a swim in the bay. This was not a chip race so my watch had me down at 22:49:00 when I came out of the water.

Course: this was a back up course in the santa rosa sound. chop of 2-3 for a 500 out 1000 across and 500 back to the beach. I think I did well in the swim, I was very nervous and probably came out too fast.
