What would you do differently?:

Post race
Warm down:

I saw one of my neighbors from a few years ago, coming in to the finish, 79 years old! He had a teddy bear in a backpack he was carrying, very cool!! Met Rick and his family, walked around, waited for awards, then went to breakfast.I had a buckwheat waffle with blueberries and walnuts, YUMMMMM

What limited your ability to perform faster:

hills!! I walked a LOT of a few hills, no joke, my walking speed was the same as my running speed on some. Also, chaffing!! I am chaffed so bad on my stomach, back, and arms, from the Womnderwoman outfit, ouchhhhhh!!!!! I don't think I'll be wearing it for RNR.

Event comments:

This is a great race for someone looking for a good challenge! Very scenic, and beautiful. I see why this race is getting smaller by the year, it's HARD!

Course: Hard!!! I now know why this course is said to be the hardest 1/2 marathon in az. The hills were SO much harder than Lost Dutchman. Was a out and back course. Went off- road for a mile before the turnaround. Coming back on the downhills was fun, but one knee starting hurting a bit. I saw Rick ( azstaterick) at mile 7.5). I didn't think there were actual hills, by the elevation chart, it looked like a gradual incline all the way up, no, there were HILLS.
