Swim
Comments: Swim was good. Finished 9th in a field of over 120. Need to capitalize on this next time with the longer distance swim. What would you do differently?: Started very slow and let first wave go first. Need to start a little closer to front of pack next time. Need to continue to work on breathing. Transition 1
Comments: Need to cut a least at least a 1 to 1 1/2 minutes off time. What would you do differently?: Struggled with wet suit. Hold off drinking until I am on the first part of the bike track. Bike
Comments: Better than last time - Good on the big hills. Past a number of people on larger hills but gave time back on longer sraightaways. What would you do differently?: Need to push a little more on the lower incline hills. Need a stronger start. Keep up concentration and push the entire race. Transition 2
Comments: Just slow...nothing in particular. What would you do differently?: Need to enter the transition area with the goal of getting out fast. Lost concentration. Run
Comments: Tired - Had to walk the long up hill- Winded. Running continues to be the toughest portion for me. Was not expecting the long up hills on the run. Caught my breath on the bottom half of the course. What would you do differently?: Similar to bike training, need to incorporate hill training into my run. Post race
Warm down: Average What limited your ability to perform faster: Hill Running - Keep focused on bike course. Event comments: Much Better than my first tri - Need to fix transitions and improve run Tri #3 in two weeks!! Last updated: 2008-04-30 12:00 AM

Arrived very early about 6am so I had a little time to kill before the event opened up. - Drank water, ate a Special K meal bar and 1/2 power bar. My Transition set up was more efficient than last time.
Pretty good swim warm up to the point where I felt very good when I entered the water for the race. Water temp was fine especially with the Wet Suit. Its been a almost 9 months since my first race so I probably should logged some time at the pool with the suit to re-familiarize myself with how it felt.
