Pre-race routine:

lite jog, stretching, ate half a banana 10 min before race had a little water.
Event warmup:

See above. Was kind of cold pre race.

Comments:

My first half mary. I had been sick for 3 weeks prior to event which got in the way of workouts prior to event. Was good for first 10 miles a little flat over the last 3 miles.
What would you do differently?:

Not be sick so I could train better 8) .
Post race
Warm down:

Walked about 1 mile, strecthing, got food and fluids. Drove home 300 + miles.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Inability to wokrout due to a string of illnesses over the past 3 months = training issues.

Event comments:

Condition of path was poor everyting else was great.

Course: Beautiful run through the redwoods in Humbolt county CA. Path was very bumpy potholes, broken pavement etc. Everything else was great, time chip so your time was from when you crossed start line to finish line. Great organiztion and staffing, banananas and oranges at every station, stations every 2 miles.
