Swim
Comments: Great swim, a little crowded at the start, I lined up right in the front row figuring I could go out fast and get some clean water. First time I've ever been kicked in the face:) Once we got to the first buoy I pretty much had a clean swim the rest of the way. Sighting was perfect. Felt strong the whole way. What would you do differently?: Nothing, could have saved a little time if I had not gotten caught up in a pack at the start. Transition 1
Comments: Guessing at my T1 time because they do not have my time recorded. I knew I had a good swim when we were coming into the transition area and I was right on the heels of a guy who normaly places top 3. Beat him out of the transition no less:) What would you do differently?: Not much, should have carried my bike though instead of wheeling it through. Bike
Comments: I knew my bike was going to be the question mark, I have not been riding outside at all, and should have been doing more bricks. I felt pretty good on the bike, got passed by 4 or 5 people in my AG, and passed a few not in my age group on the first lap. The second lap was interesting, some interesting riding going on. People riding in the middle of the road, passing and then cutting right in and slowing down, what a mess. I thought I might have gotten a penalty at one point when a group came by and then just rode 2-3 abreast with no room to pass, I looked over my shoulder to go around and there was a motorcycle. No penalty though. What would you do differently?: More riding and bricks Transition 2
Comments: 2nd faster T2 time in my AG Run
Comments: Crappy run, I really wanted to be in the low 22's for my run. I think not doing more bricks hurt me and just did not feel strong on the run. There was a guy in my age group that was right in front so I paced off of him. I never saw any mile markers so that did not help me either. What would you do differently?: More brick workouts, run faster! Post race
Warm down: Grabbed a gatorade and went to meet my wife at the finish to cheer some others on, we had 50 people from our tri-club doing the sprint. Gotta love the cow bell! Event comments: I love this weekend, I volunteered out in the water for the 1/2 on Saturday, we have a large group from Wilmington that comes and stays in the dorm for the weekend so it is just an all around good time. Sorry that I did not get a chance to meet up with any other BT'rs. Last updated: 2008-05-05 12:00 AM

Light were on in the dorm at 5:30, a little early for me but oh well. Had a cup of coffee and 1/2 a pb bagel.
Biked for 10 minutes, ran for 10 minutes and made sure I had enough time to get my wetsuit on this year! Got down to the lake at a little after 8 and swam a little while I waited for my wave.
