Swim
Comments: My swim performance was pretty good. I have become a stronger swimmer since last year when I swam in triathlons.( This is even though the 10 minute bathroom break makes my time seem really slow!) What would you do differently?: I would not spend 10 minutes in the bathroom after I swim! Transition 1
Comments: My transition time was actually over 10 minutes. The extra transition time in the bathroom got factered into my swim time instead. What would you do differently?: I would not take a transition over 10 minutes! Bike
Comments: The bicycling felt a little tough since I havn't spent much time on my bike this winter. The course felt really long! I still enjoyed the course though. It was intresting touring landmarks such as the OSU ootball stadium. What would you do differently?: I would train on my bike more often. Transition 2
Comments: This transition was a lot faster then T1! What would you do differently?: I wouldn't do anything differently. I liked this trasition :) Run
Comments: I really enjoyed the run. The course felt really short, shorter then 3 miles. I sprinted as fast as I could to the finish to make up for the slow bicycling! What would you do differently?: I liked how I performed on the run. I never run 10 minute miles. Either they miscalculated the course, or I really improved my running. I hope it's the latter! Post race
Warm down: I ate lots of pasta, pretzels, and a bananna. What limited your ability to perform faster: What limited my abality was taking a 10 minute bathroom break, and really slow bicycling speed. Event comments: This triathlon felt really easy in comparison to all the other trathlons I have done so far. At the end of the race, I didn't feel as tired as I have felt in previous races. The end of the race just felt like the end of a normal workout.I think I am ready to move up to an Olympic distance triathlon (after I gain some bicycling speed!) Last updated: 2008-05-05 12:00 AM

I spent the weekend of the race in Columbus. I spent Saturday morning touring Ohio State University, which is one of my top college choices. I found out that I really like the size of the university and all the programs the university has to offer.
After the tour was over, my mom and I explored around the city of Columbus. I ended up catching a cold, however, because it was raining all day on Saturday. I spent all of Saturday in the rain touring Columbus!
I spent that night in a nice hotel but woke up with a sore throat and runny nose. I took some Dayquill, however, which got rid of my cold symptoms for a few hours during the triathlon. After I took the cold medicine, I was ready to start the race!
I did not do a warmup. I was going to be working out enough as it was! The only thing I did before the race was getting my gear ready and lining up near the pool for the swim start.
