Swim
Comments: Good swim for me. Didn't start too fast, but maintained a good pace throughout. I was number 71, so there was a little wait, but not bad. What would you do differently?: Just keep putting time in the pool. Transition 1
Comments: Put my bike shoes on in transition today instead of trying to mount the bike then do it. I like having them on better, I can jump on bike and worry about getting up to speed without having to worry about getting shoes on. Bike
Comments: I missed the fastest bike split by like 19 seconds. I'm happy with my bike. Took 1 gel with about 3 miles left to go on the bike. What would you do differently?: Use the aero bottle instead of regular bottle in cage. Transition 2
Comments: All seemed to go smoothly. Run
Comments: It never seems like I'm running "fast" off the bike, but my times say otherwise. Paced pretty good. Had a little left fot the end. Post race
Warm down: Walked and cheered for others. What limited your ability to perform faster: IM training, although with the 2 travel days right before this tri, it was like a mini taper. Event comments: RD did a good job for his first time. Everything seemed to go smoothly, even with some weather concerns. Last updated: 2008-05-06 12:00 AM

0500 - Ate Bowl of cereal and Blueberry pancake.
Waited for the storm to pass. The race was slightly delayed 15-20 minutes. Rode bike the whole 4.5 miles from home to transition.
Got in some decent swim time before waiting my turn to start. 1 gel about 15 minutes before start.
I ended up first in my age group and the first home town male finisher!!!
