Pre-race routine:

Got to the park, set up my bike and went to register. Set up transition and chatted with friends. I really love this series for the comraderie.
Event warmup:

Ran a little more than a 1/2 mile to warm up. Jumped on my bike to check the gearing and swam a bit.
Swim
  • 06m 45s
  • 400 yards
  • 01m 41s / 100 yards
Comments:

Besides ripping my wetsuit before the race, it went well. My navigation was really good tonight. Barbara had an asthma attack on the way out to the buoy, so I did pause a sec and make sure she was talking and breathing ok. Rounding the buoy, someone was doing breaststroke or side stroke trying to kill us all with his legs. Navigation back was spot on. Really happy with my swim tonight.
Transition 1
  • 01m 26s
Bike
  • 38m 46s
  • 10 miles
  • 15.48 mile/hr
Comments:

Pretty happy with the bike. I am training for long distances, so didn't know how I was going to do tonight. Happy!!
Transition 2
  • 00m 43s
Comments:

Well someone put their bike on my towel, so I think I wasted a bit of time fuming. Other than that, it went pretty smooth. Lauren and Michelle were there to kick me back into gear. I think their exact words were " what are you having coffee over there?" That got me motoring.
What would you do differently?:

Not get rattled
Run
  • 15m 47s
  • 2 miles
  • 07m 53s  min/mile
Comments:

Ok, so there are some quick runners in this group, but I shaved a bunch of time off my run and didn't feel like I was killing myself. Stayed calm, but went hard. Mary and Lori passed me on the run course, but I don't think I could have gone much faster.
Post race
Warm down:

Ran the run course again to cool down.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I was really happy with this race. I love this series and this club. Everyone is like a big family. Super!!!

Event comments:

Love it!!
