Pre-race routine:

Well, Liam got up in the middle of the night b/c he peed in his bed. Luke got up a half hour later and was throwing up all night. I was very, very tired. Alicia got to my house around 6am and we met Barbara and Deb off the highway. We got there around 7:15 and registered and rode our bikes over to the transition area.
Event warmup:

Did a bit of running on the path around the lake. It was very cold. My feet and hands were freezing!!

I was told to use this as my real warmup. Felt like my pacing was good.
What would you do differently?:

Not do a race so late in the season. Really wasn't into it. Thank goodness that my friends were there doing it with me.

I always feel good on the bike. this is a deceiving course. on the back side of the course there is what looks to be a straightaway, but is goes uphill.

Warm down:

Jogged around a bit and waited for Torpey to come in.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Sleep deprivation. My needing the season to be over. I think October races are too late for me.

Event comments:

Well all four of us won awards for our age group. I was so mad at the end when I found out that the other girl in my age group beat me by a measly :12 seconds. Man I hate when that happens. Stinky.
