Could not catch my breath. ended up swimming with head above water. was good at not trying to catch up to others, and swimming my pace.

bike would not go into first gear. did it in 2 and 3. handled it well, changed as needed. legs felt good at end. wish i had not missed the turn. passed one person during race, only passed by one other.

this is a small race, people were very friendly and helpful. they just needed a little more organization and volunteers. the course that was on the road was very well marked with lots of law enforcement help to ensure our safety.
