Comments:

This was a TOUGH TOUGH DAY! I have spent the last 6 weeks battling pnuemonia, and having issues up and down as far as health goes. My intentions were to run 10k of the race, and withdraw! I got out there, and was having "fun" and wanted to seem that back half of the 10k so I went for it... 1st 5k was 43.00, second 10k was 38.00 (WINNER OF THE 10k was a 1:13 or something so it was a tough 10k!).... The back 1/2 was BRUTAL! The winner of the 1/2 Marathon ran a 2:22 ugh!
What would you do differently?:

Stop being a baby on hills!!
Post race
Warm down:

A quick change, lots of water, a bagel w/ Peanut Butter, and then a stop at Mexican Food on the drive home!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training!

Event comments:

Dean Karnazes ran the race and he said "Before the race I heard a lot of people say that this was their 1st trail race. I swear on my life that every other race you do from hear on out will be easier! I have done trail runs all over the world, and this was one of the hardest, most technical runs I have ever done."
