Swim
Comments: Nothing unusual here. Got passed by Aaron, who was two spots behind me and expected. Didn't pass or get passed by anyone else. What would you do differently?: Train. Transition 1
Comments: About a fifty yard run around the health club to the transition area. Uneventful transition. What would you do differently?: Be faster. Bike
Comments: Was running 23, 24 mph on the way out comfortably, but ran out of gas about ten miles in. What would you do differently?: Train. Be well. Transition 2
Comments: Both transitions were faster than the last time I did this in 2006. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: About a half-mile in, I got passed by a guy in my AG, but he was numbered like 10 ahead of me. With the time trial start at 10-second increments, I only had to stay within 90 seconds of him to beat him. Actually stayed a little closer than that and beat him by 20 seconds to get third. What would you do differently?: Train. Post race
Warm down: Caught breath, drank two waters, and went eat. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. With vacation and the flu last week I haven't been on the bike or in the pool in more than two weeks. Still had the remnants of the flu on race day. Enough with the excuses. Time to get back with the program. This finish was five minutes slower than my last time (2006). Event comments: Nice little race, well run and beginner friendly. Wasn't held last year, and we missed it. Last updated: 2008-05-17 12:00 AM

Bagel, coffee, shower, shave, dress, drive. Unloaded, got our pick of the racks as only one other bike was in transitions. Picked up packets, fixed numbers, and visited.
Took about a fifteen minute cruise on the bike, basically rode the run course and a little more, just to get the blood flowing through the legs.
