Run
Comments: I've done the first 4 and last 4 miles before. I thought they were tough. I was wrong. Miles 4 and 5 were very bad. The race started on time, with a slight uphill. There are rolling hills for about 4 miles, netting a little down. Then in mile 4, the real tough part begins. I had to walk DOWN the hill. At the turn around, I started by running up the hill, but slowed down to a walk 3/4 of the way up. No one passed me. Coming back, I had a lot of energy. We got in a group of 3 of us coming back, and somehow I found I had the pace to be able to keep up 8 minute miles even at the end of the race. Post race
Event comments: Another day, another beautiful race in the bay area. It's called the Tilden Tough Ten, and it's really tough, but fun. Small race alternative to the Bay to Breakers. Last updated: 2008-05-18 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:30, and decided I'ld take the chance to go to the race and see if they had space available. Got there at 7:00, after a nice big breakfast, and got one of the last two slots before the waitlist.
Did a mile jog, and then stretched a little.
