What would you do differently?:

Turn in a faster swim time. I always swim faster in a race than in training.

Other than the traffic, the bike was set up for me. Long and hilly. First race for me with clipless peddles. I used my Mountain bike shoes and they gave me some speed over toe clips.Time includes T2
What would you do differently?:

Start out in a lower gear because the start was a short hill.

Event comments:

Was a little disapointed that only the 1st place Clydesdale was anounced. Matter of fact the awards were ran through very fast. Lots of volunteers for the size of the race and everybody was in a great mood.

Course: Bike was longer for a sprint which was good for me (two nine mile laps). Hwy 5 was very busy with cars and trucks but rest of course was great. Adnah (sp) Church rd was newly paved and Rock Hill had swept the course. Sucked down 2nd hammergel on 2nd lap. Cops could have done a better job directing traffic (a racer almost got hit by car starting bike)
