What would you do differently?: Need to train more on the swim. Mass start was quite interesting for a first time. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Forgot to grab power gel before leaving transition area. ![]() Bike
Comments: Bike started off too quick. Started off at 25mph and died down do 20mph. Need to work on keeping speed consistent. ![]() Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Need to work on getting feet out of shoes quicker and placing on top of riding shoes. ![]() Run
Comments: Run went well. Pace was steady. What would you do differently?: Need do bike->run brick more often ![]() Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of nutrition throughout the race. I usually take a power gel and eat it on the bike, but left it in the transition area so I had nothing for the entire race. Event comments: Great first tri! The race did start 15min late though. Race Began at 730. I woke up at 530 and ate 2 packages of oatmeal. I then stretched really well before leaving the hotel
I warmed up by running down the beach for a couple minutes. I then stretched out my upper and lower body again.
