Overall Rank = 122/346
Age Group = 35-39
Age Group Rank = 30/44
Pre-race routine:

Stayed at Jamesson Inn. Got up at 4:45am. Ate a bagel with Gatorade and took a shower.
Event warmup:

Waking from car to event. It was a tenth of a mile.
Swim
  • 24m 43s
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 31s / 100 yards
Comments:

Bouys were to far apart. It was difficult to sight. The sprint start was a the Olympic finish which was confusing since I was coming in as they were starting.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Transition 1
  • 02m 30s
Comments:

Still need to work on this. Getting on my shoes and socks takes too long.
What would you do differently?:

Need to practice putting on my socks while my feet are wet.
Bike
  • 1h 22m 52s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 17.99 mile/hr
Comments:

Fun course.
What would you do differently?:

Still need to work on my speed. I've only been biking since April.
Transition 2
  • 01m 23s
What would you do differently?:

Need to practice this more.
Run
  • 53m 26s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 36s  min/mile
Comments:

The run started off a little rough with some cramps on my right side starting in my chest and moving to my rib cage. The cramps went away after I took a short walk break at mile 3.
What would you do differently?:

I need to practice my bike-run bricks more. In my daily training runs I can hold 8:15-8:30 for up to 10 miles.
Post race
Warm down:

Walking into the misting shower. I cooled off there for about 5 minutes. I was very glad they had the shower.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The heat was a detriment but the main problem is I need more experience on my bike.

Event comments:

They needed more signs at the begining to show where everything was. I didn't realize until someone told me that the Oly swim was at a different place than the bike/run transition area. I happened to overhear some people talking about it.
