Comments:

Swim format was a new one on me. Swimmers were set off in one minute interval so that as it's a 3 lane pool by the time it came to me setting off there was only one other swimmer in the pool. This format worked pretty well for getting a clear swim but slight detraction as you had no-one to race against.
What would you do differently?:

Probably could have gone a bit harder.

The run from T1 to the bike mount was massive.
What would you do differently?:

Have the shoes on the bike so as not to get them all messed up with the long run to the mount line

Lots of blingy bikes on show. This is a cyclists race. Short swim and long bike. Closed roads though which was nice.

By a fantoosh bike.

Partly off road run. Up and down wee hills. I enjoyed the run. Had a woman to chase for the last mile but failed to catch her.
Post race
Event comments:

A bit lacking in atmosphere. The swim was closed to spectators which really had a big effect on the excitement. Transition area was also left open all the time so people were milling about a lot and sometimes getting in the way - all a bit disorganised. Never seen so many marshals though.
