Pre-race routine:

Woke up about 4:15 (earlier than I planned, the dog woke me up ARHH). Showered and had some oatmeal. Had a friend meet at my house at we drove up to the park and ride at Wadsworth and were picked up by another friend.
Event warmup:

Nothing really except walking around and some stretching.

Comments:

My first 10K ever, so I was excited for that. I was right in the middle of heavy training for an Oly in a couple of weeks, but it didn't seem to hurt me too much. Legs felt good. First 5K was in 32:15, second was in 29:18. My 5K PR currently sits at 32:30, so I am THRILLED with these splits. I purposely went out slow as I wanted to make sure I didn't die, but I could have gone out faster and broken an hour.
What would you do differently?:

Start a little faster.
Post race
Warm down:

Herded around to get goodie bag and beer. Had a couple other beers in the stands while waiting to watch the pros.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

No taper, in the middle of heavy training.

Event comments:

First time running the Bolder Boulder, and I had a blast. I was worried about the number of people, but I felt I had more room to run in this race than in any other I have run. Will do again.
