Comments:

good swim. Started strong, passed a good many people before the first buoy. Started off not sighting so well, but got up to speed pretty quick. The last 2/3rds of the swim went really well, stayed steady, got a bit tired, but finished strong and and was very pleased with my time.

Comments:

pretty smooth T1, even with a long uphill run from hte water. A pretty average transition. Nothing great, nothing that cost me too much time.

Comments:

decent ride. I took it easy at first to get up to speed, but felt like I pushed pretty hard the rest of the way. I could've gone a bit harder but no too nuch. With the heat, I wanted to try and save a litte for the run
What would you do differently?:

very good T2. Fastest in my group. Very smooth

Comments:

decent run. I messed up my splits on my watch. First mile was 6:48, dont' know about the rest. It was hotter than hell. I tried to ease into it and really wanted my first mile to be my slowest. I was really surprised when I saw 6:48 at the first stop. THe heat caught up with me on hte 3rd mile, and I was just trying to hang on during the last. Overall, not a bad run, but 1:30 slower than last year.
What would you do differently?:

slow down the first mile
Post race
Warm down:

walked around for a while, sat in the lake to cool off, ate some pizza

What limited your ability to perform faster:

heat was tough

Event comments:

again, a very good race, well organized, on time, good volunteers, aid stations, tech t shirts, nice post race spread. No negatives except the heat.
