Pre-race routine:

Two pieces of Wheat Toast with a bottle of Infinit Jet Fuel.
Event warmup:

Did some stretching and did not run enough. I wanted to run around the mall and do some sprints. Got to race too late and had to go to the bathroom more than usual.

Comments:

It was drizzling before race. Race did not have any gatorade, only water. Only took water at three aid stations and only a sip at that.
What would you do differently?:

I actually was very pleased with everything. I started off the race about 30-40 seconds slower than last year and that help. I took advantage of the free downhill speed but kept it in reason. Felt really strong the last few miles and ran negative splits at the end which I was really pleased about. I just need to keep running and getting stronger and more efficient. I was pleased with my Garmin 305 and that really helped me keep my pace in check. It also kept me aware of where I was in each mile.

Warm down:

Bad. Should have continued jogging and I stopped and talked with Stacy and Mom and Dad. I need to get better at this.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Just need more training and experience.

Event comments:

Wished they had more Gatorade or something else than water.
