Run
Comments: The run started off well, just too fast. I hot the 2 mile mark at 14:30, and I was hoping to keep more like a 7:30 pace. Made a conscious effort to moderate my pace, which I did through the bulk of the course. I have to admit that one or two of those hills caught me off guard, especially the last one near the golf course. I also have to say that including that pedestrian bridge is an altogether bad idea. I kept thinking I was going to turn my ankle going up into that thing. I slowed down pretty bad between miles 10-12, before I got a last bit of snap back into my legs. Finished with a real strong kick and a broad smile on my face. What would you do differently?: Remember to bring my watch so I could keep an eye on my pace, especially early on. Post race
Warm down: Walked for about 5-10 minutes, stretched, and hit the food tent. Changed in my car and used my massage stick for a few minutes on my hammies and ITB What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing, it was a great time for me. Event comments: Well organized and well staffed event. Last updated: 2008-05-25 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:30 (can't help it( and forced myself to stay in bed until after 5A. Finally got up, dressed, and ate a Clif bar. Drove to the start with dassoj15 and his sister/friends.
Stretched a bit , hit the bathroom at a hotel off the square, and found the 1:40 group.
