Comments: Good run, probably a little faster than needed for a training run, but hey what can you do. Felt good in a few stretches, but the hills do take their toll. Good prep for the half coming up. What would you do differently?: Not too much, since was a un-planned event. Post race
Warm down: Just walked around got a bagel, bananna, water. Then headed back to the car and mixed up and Endurox drink, then drove home. What limited your ability to perform faster: I am just slow. Well this was a last minute race. Needed a 10 mile run for training, so did this.
Got up about 6am, had small bowl of oatmeal, bananna, and cup of coffee. Headed out about 6:20 and parked, registered, and such by 6:35. Sat in the car and read Runner's World mag and drank a bottle of water.
About 7:40 hit the bathroom, did some stretching, ran a little to get loose, then headed for the 8am start.
