Pre-race routine:

Drove down the Friday and took 5 hours. Next year we WILL drive through Athlone. Its a shorter route and all towns are bypassed.

Got to bed about 12am and could not sleep with noist in Kilkee Bay hotel.

Got into water on beach for a paddle.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Ironman. In good shape at the moment. For next year i will need to work on strength in off season and condtion for the races.

Course: 5 km clime out past the cliffs and back. Amazing course. Knee held out and i pushed a little on the pace. Could knok 3-5 mins off time.
