Comments:

goggles leaking from first part of race, need to stop and dump them about 6 times during race. Did not see turn bouy and went about 30 yards past before realizing it.(60 yards out of my way.

I did swim well though.
What would you do differently?:

turn at the bouy, look at different goggles

transition was good, had to run a quarter mile from swim out to transition area on rough asphalt barefoot but did fairly well

was biking well. averaging 22-23 out into the wind and 28-30 back with wind. Missed bike turn around. could not turn around right away as it was one way had to jump over highway divider which was about 7 foot drop. went at least .25mi past turn so lost at least .5 miles and was going slow because unsure what to do.

make the turn

when i got back to my area someones bike was in my spot so had to move that bike get mine racked was a little out of sinc because of the problem.

My run belt that was hung where bike hung was gone. I didn't realize it until 1 mile into run when i did not have it on. come to find out the wind had blown it to the other end of the bike rack bar while all the bikes were gone.
What would you do differently?:

stay with bike longer before leaving transition area to make sure no one gets to close to my bike or area. wrap run belt around avertical bar also so it cannot blow on the bike rack bar

ran good, could have been a little faster but was not sure where i was in run based on the signs. i could tell if i was starting a mile or finishing it so held back a little and I had plenty left to go harder

get a better handle where i am in race

Warm down:

good, great ice cold wet rag. area to walk around in without spectators allowed in. excellent post race food and drinks available in area.

walk out to exhibits and post race food

What limited your ability to perform faster:

navigation Swim and Bike lost a minimum of 4-6 minutes
