Pre-race routine:

Rivi picked me up, and we drove to the start.. well, we got dropped off at the start.
Event warmup:

Lots of stretching in the sub-seeded corral. Back was really giving me problems. All due to tightness elsewhere.

Comments:

I earned my 2nd peachtree Mug! Woot!!

Didn't feel good at all. Was really tight, just about everywhere. Pushed as much as I could, but felt a slowdown hit at about 17th street. Goal was 43 something, but ended up with 45 something. Lost two minutes over last year... BUT.. an interesting fact. Last year, the top thousand cutoff was in the 44's. this year it ended in the 46's, so the top 1000 as a whole lost two minutes as well. The turn up Juniper was tough. If someone says it wasn't, then they weren't running hard enough prior to that point.

Note: Love running up with the fasties, i just wonder where they all train.
Post race
Warm down:

Walk to the Civic Center parking lot, then over to O'Terrills for 3 beers.. well, 4 beers thanks to the extra ticket from the brown dogs. ;)

After that, Jumped on Marta, south to the west line, then west to Bankhead, then picked up and off to a well deserved nap.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training, not performing well in Triathlon or Running at this point, but I am working on Turning that around.

Event comments:

It's the Peachtree Road Race.. largest 10k in the world. Great event every year.
