got there with almost an hour to spare. I like this. Plenty of time to relax, stretch, get warm. Took 2 laps in pool.

Felt pretty good on the bike. Drinking with Aero Bottle. The course is nice and wide. We get a whole lane, since there are 2 lane roads the whole way.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I've been training for a 1/2 Ironman, so I am used to more endurance work, and not speed work. Still 6 / 39 in my age group is wonderful and 31st overall is great.

Event comments:

Great hometown race. Great Olympic pool, bike course is wide, and the run is a challenging 5k.
