Comments: Felt pretty good on the bike. Drinking with Aero Bottle. The course is nice and wide. We get a whole lane, since there are 2 lane roads the whole way. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Still pretty slow here. Need to rack bike faster, get shoes, on and get going. I put socks on. What would you do differently?: No Gu in T2 Run
Comments: I haven't done a lot of speed work this year. So my time is not as fast as I can be. What would you do differently?: Speed work Post race
Warm down: A little stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: I've been training for a 1/2 Ironman, so I am used to more endurance work, and not speed work. Still 6 / 39 in my age group is wonderful and 31st overall is great. Event comments: Great hometown race. Great Olympic pool, bike course is wide, and the run is a challenging 5k. Up early, 5 minutes on trainer, smoothie, coffee, stretching
got there with almost an hour to spare. I like this. Plenty of time to relax, stretch, get warm. Took 2 laps in pool.
